Paragliding in Cape Town
Paragliding in Cape Town
In Cape Town, you can embark on an unforgettable adventure through instructional tandem paragliding flights from Signal Hill and Lion’s Head. The choice of our paragliding launch site depends on the ever-changing wind direction throughout the day. This dynamic allows us to kick off our paragliding journey from Signal Hill and gracefully transition to Lion’s Head as the wind patterns evolve.
The durations of our introductory and instructional tandem paragliding flights vary due to the unpredictable nature of the wind and overall weather conditions in Cape Town. While we cannot guarantee a specific flight time, we assure you that instructional training flights only take place when conditions permit safe launches and landings. Our team of Tandem Paragliding Flight Instructors (TFIs) is comprised of highly experienced individuals who share a passion for flying. They are dedicated to extending your flight whenever possible, all while adhering to our rigorous risk assessment and providing you with comprehensive instructions for a safe and relaxed paragliding experience. Generally, introductory and instructional tandem paragliding flights in Cape Town range from approximately 5 to 20 minutes in duration.
It’s worth noting that tandem paragliding flights from Table Mountain are not permitted, as stipulated by the regulations of Table Mountain National Parks (TMNP). This restriction is in place to uphold safety standards and environmental sensitivity.
